Las Noches Woman's Club HistoryLas Noches Woman's club began as an "Evening Department" of the Tempe Woman's Club on December 3, 1958. Many women were entering the work force and were unable to attend day meetings. A short time after, these ladies formed a committee to name the group, and an application was made to become a GFWC Club. Las Noches (meaning "nights") Woman's Club was born January 21, 1959.
Now, the club has grown to over forty members. Our diverse age range (from college age to retirement age), helps us understand and support all areas of our community in need. We even have several mother/daughters who joined to share their love for volunteering. |
